eligibility and application guidelines

students are eligible to apply for scholarship if they are:
- accepted
as a full-time student at an accredited college, university or institution of higher education.
- Majoring
in the field of Film-making, Broadcasting, Telecommunications or any of the Performing Arts.
- An UNDERGRADUATE JUNIOR
by the fall term of the current year.
- In good academic standing
maintaining the equivalent of a 3.0 grade point average or higher.
eligible candidates - compile application package consisting of:

Fully completed, signed, and dated. Be sure to include a valid mailing address and phone number where the candidate can be easily reached. Download or print form at "APPLICATION" tab. (must have Adobe reader 6.0 or higher to download)
- TWO Letters of Reference
At least two letters of reference from educators, counselors, community persons, employers (particularly from the field of Film-making, Broadcasting, Telecommunications or Performing Arts ) who can verify the candidate's potential for success and academic ability.

Copy of the candidate's current college transcript on official letterhead and/or with seal signed by registrar or authorized institution official.

the Process
Applicants will receive acknowledgement by email usually within 5 business days of receipt. IMPORTANT: If you do not receive acknowledgment within 14 calendar days, email a status request to info@markkawilliamsfoundation.info. Announcements of recipients will be made to all applicants by email 15 December of the current year. Scholarships will be awarded by mail and if scheduled, in-person at the Annual MKAW Scholarship Luncheon to be announced at a later date. Good luck!
